What is the Empower sports bra best for?
Medium-impact training: gym sessions, strength work, cycling, and sports where you move hard but don't pound the pavement. It sits in our medium-impact collection and was redesigned in 2025 for better comfort and support than the original.
What sizes does the Empower come in?
XS to XXL, based on your dress size rather than cup size. If you're unsure which to pick, the size guide maps each size to UK dress sizes and measurements.
Does the Empower have Overband® Technology?
Yes. Like every MAAREE bra, the Empower has the Overband®, the curved panel across the top of the chest that controls upward bounce. On the Empower it's pre-tensioned at manufacture rather than adjustable, so it works straight out of the box with nothing to set up.
How is the Empower different from the Solidarity?
Sizing and support level. The Solidarity is cup-sized (28-38, C-HH) and built for high impact; the Empower is dress-sized (XS-XXL) and tuned for medium impact. If you do both kinds of training, plenty of customers own one of each.
How should I wash the Empower?
Follow the care label, and wash it inside a Sports Bra Wash Bag if you want it to last. The bag stops hooks and rough fabrics rubbing against the bra in the machine, which protects both the fabric and its shape.
Is the Empower Bra covered by your guarantee?
Every bra we make is covered by our 12-month guarantee. Wear it, train in it, wash it; if it lets you down inside a year of normal use, we'll sort it.
What's the difference between encapsulation and compression sports bras?
Compression bras apply pressure to the chest against the body and use one piece of fabric to cover both breasts. Encapsulation bras cup each breast separately, which is closer to a regular bra. The MAAREE Empower Sports Bra is a Compression bra.
What if the bra doesn't fit when it arrives?
The best thing to do would be to book an online fitting with us. A lot of the time there's just some adjustability that's needed to get it to fit perfectly. Otherwise, our friendly fitters can help evaluate the fit and suggest your replacement size if it's needed. The free 1-to-1 fitting takes about 15 minutes and runs across UK, EU and US time zones.
